The Darlington Group of Advanced Motorists

Darlington Advanced Motorists is affiliated to the Institute of Advanced Motorists, and is a registered charity; charity no. 1050382. The group has been in existence for over 21 years.

The groups primary aim is to encourage drivers of all types of vehicle to enhance, advance, and maintain their driving skills to a standard beyond that required by the DVLA driving test.

If you are interested in raising the standard of your driving, as an associate member of the group, you will be allocated to an observer who will watch you driving your own vehicle. The observer will give you all the help and advice you need to take the Advanced Driving Test.

The group has a membership of over 100, and is organised by a committee of volunteers.

Skill for Life courses are held regularly through the year.
